Marseille are hopeful of agreeing on a deal to sign Leeds United target Jonathan Rowe before the transfer window closes a week from this Friday.

The 21-year-old winger’s future at Norwich City has been under the scanner and he is likely to leave the club in the next ten days.

Leeds have identified him as their top target but negotiations with the Canaries have been far more complicated than they anticipated.

He is also attracting interest from the Premier League and he is a top target for Marseille, who have failed with two bids for the winger.

Marseille failed with two bids earlier in the window, but according to the Daily Telegraph, the French giants put in a new offer over the weekend.

Marseille’s latest offer is a loan with an obligation to buy and it will net Norwich around £13.5m.

The French giants are growing in optimism that a deal can be agreed with Norwich for the winger’s signature before the window closes.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds decide to offer more money to make sure Daniel Farke lands his top target in the coming days.
