Celtic are struggling to make progress in their negotiations with MLS side LAFC for Mateusz Bogusz, according to Sky Sports News.

The Scottish side have recently sold their star midfielder Matt O’Riley for a record sum and they are working to reinvest that money.

Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in more creative spark to his side and former Leeds United man Bogusz has emerged as a top option.

It was suggested earlier today that even though the Bhoys have sent an offer for the Polish midfielder they have fallen short of his valuation.

It has been suggested that Celtic are a long way from matching LAFC’s valuation of the 23-year-old attacker and talks are not really progressing at the moment.

They are working on their deal to bring in 20-year-old Arne Engels from Augsburg but the chances of bringing Bogusz in are looking slim.

The Polish player moved to LAFC last year and has featured in 76 matches for them already contributing to 36 goals in the process.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic will significantly revise their offer for Bogusz by Friday or if they will go for another target.
