Todd Cantwell has passed a medical at Blackburn Rovers ahead of his permanent exit from Rangers, according to The Athletic.
Cantwell has been training with the Rangers reserve side since making it clear to Philippe Clement that he wanted to leave earlier in the window.
The midfielder is closing in on leaving the Glasgow giants on deadline day and is set to join Championship side Blackburn.
Blackburn have agreed to pay a fee of £500,000 to Rangers and he has been undergoing a medical with the Championship outfit.
It has been claimed that the midfielder has passed a medical ahead of completing the move.
Cantwell and his representatives will now look to finalise the terms on a contract with Blackburn.
If everything gets agreed upon, the midfielder is expected to join Blackburn ahead of the end of the window.
Cantwell joined Rangers from Norwich City in January 2023 and scored eight times and registered seven assists in 44 appearances for the club.
