Hammarby midfielder Markus Karlsson has insisted that he must be doing something right after he was compared to a Manchester City star by his boss Kim Hellberg.

The Cityzens have made another perfect to their Premier League campaign after winning all four of their opening matches.

Pep Guardiola’s men, though, started the campaign without their key midfielder Rodri, who only played his first league match of the season last week against Brentford.

The Euro 2024 winner is considered one of the best midfielders in the world and Hammarby boss Hellberg compared his side’s 20-year-old midfielder Karlsson with the Spaniard.

Karlsson feels that Rodri is the best midfielder in the world and insists that he is on the right path if he is being compared to the Cityzens star man.

“Those are big words, really. Rodri is someone you should look out for if you are a midfielder, I think”, Karlsson told Swedish daily Aftonbladet.

“I think he is the best midfielder in the world. It’s a sign that I’m doing something good.”

Rodri is expected to have a hectic week as Manchester City will be hosting Inter Milan in the Champions League and Arsenal in the Premier League this week at the Etihad.
