Juventus stalwart Gianluigi Buffon hopes Paul Pogba will follow in team-mate Arturo Vidal's footsteps soon despite all the transfer speculation around the former Manchester United man.
Pogba's list of suitors include Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, and, with his contract running out in 2016, a renewal will be the least Juventus can offer him.
There is talk of a potential salary increase as well, something deemed critical to keeping him at the club. There is some respite of sorts, though, given that Vidal yesterday penned his renewal until 2017.
Vidal's situation had long been used in the same sentence as Pogba's and Buffon told Sky Italia: "[Pogba] will be next to renew. Soon it will be up to him.

"The fact that a player like Arturo, who would surely have received bids and proposals, chose us is enough to understand that the intentions and hopes for the future are very bright.
"It is a sign of continuity in terms of the project and when looking for new goals to reach."
Juventus are understood to be considering a release clause for Pogba, if and when the renewal finally arrives.
The clause could reach the same levels of €63m that Napoli had slapped on Edinson Cavani, which eventually realised a bumper move to PSG.
