Lazio president Claudio Lotito has set out his stall regarding midfielder Hernanes, insisting that only an "indecent" offer will find favour with him.

The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs in the current transfer window, including English Premier League trio Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, La Liga side Atletico Madrid and Serie A giants Inter.

Hernanes is thought to be open to leaving Lazio and with a contract that is due to expire in the summer of 2015 is not in a weak position.

But Lotito is putting up the barricades and will only release the Brazilian if a big bid arrives, that being a sum substantially more than the €17m figure which has been mooted.

"If there is an offer, we will look at it, but only if it is an indecent proposal", Lotito told Sportmediaset.

"€17m? This figure does not match the quality of the player.

"He is not for sale and to this day we have not received any offer."

The 28-year-old has made 17 appearances for Lazio in Serie A so far this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
