Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis has revealed that Arsene Wenger will extend his contract at the club, with an announcement to be made "at the right time".

Wenger, who has been in charge at Arsenal since 1996, sees his current deal at the Emirates Stadium expire at the end of this season.

Speculation over whether the 64-year-old will extend has been running rampant, with Paris Saint-Germain waiting in the wings if he does not.

But Gazidis is sure the Frenchman will remain in charge of the Gunners.

"Arsene will be extending with us and at the right time we will make that announcement", he was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Arsenal currently sit on top of the Premier League, with a one-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.

They are also in the Round of 16 in the Champions League and through to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
