Brendan Rodgers feels Liverpool may benefit from Arsenal's tough February fixture list – but only when they meet the Gunners in the FA Cup.

Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield tomorrow afternoon in a Premier League clash and, with Arsene Wenger's men sitting top of the table and Rodgers' side in fourth, it is a key fixture.

And the games only get tougher for Arsenal throughout February, with Manchester United visiting the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, followed by Liverpool making the trip in an FA Cup game the following weekend.

Then on the Tuesday, Arsenal play host to Bayern Munich in the first-leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie.

And Rodgers can well imagine Wenger choosing to prioritise the Premier League and Champions League over the FA Cup.

Asked about whether the February fixture list could have an impact on Arsenal's Liverpool meetings, Rodgers told LFC TV: "Maybe not the first game, but maybe the cup game.

"Arsene will have to plan forward in terms of his teams.

"They're big games and let's hope it's a problem we'll have next year. Certainly, it is something they're going to have to plan for."
