And Wenger, who felt his side fared worse at Anfield than their 6-3 drubbing against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in December, sounded confident about his men bouncing back against the champions.

"Our performance was poorer on Saturday than at Man City", the manager told Arsenal Player.

"But I'm confident we will respond in a positive matter on Wednesday night.”

Wenger further added that he feels home form will be vital for Arsenal in the remaining part of this season.

Hence, the Frenchman wants his side to do well at the Emirates Stadium, starting with the Manchester United game tomorrow.

"It is about how well we do at home at the Emirates, of course starting on Wednesday”, he added.

“Recently we have been very good defensively at home and offensively as well. That is what we want to show on Wednesday night."

Arsenal lost the corresponding fixture against Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in November.
