Arsenal may have just booked a spot in the FA Cup final, but boss Arsene Wenger is already plotting overtaking Everton in the Premier League.

Before the Gunners kicked off at Wembley against Wigan in their FA Cup semi-final today, Everton had beaten Sunderland to move ahead of Arsenal and into fourth place in the Premier League.

Arsenal beat Wigan 4-2 on penalties after 120 minutes of play ended with the sides locked at 1-1, but winning the FA Cup would be scant consolation if it came along with missing out on next season's Champions League.

But Wenger does not believe that will happen and has backed his team to finish fourth.

"If we win our remaining games I think we will finish in front of Everton so we need to focus on the Premier League now", he said via his club's feed.

Both teams have five Premier League games left to play, with Arsenal next in action on Tuesday night at home against West Ham.
