Real Madrid have rejected a €12m bid from Juventus for Arsenal target Alvaro Morata.

Morata’s future has been a source of constant speculation and Juventus are considered the frontrunners to secure his signature this summer.

The Bianconeri have been on the 21-year-old’s trail for some time now and are more than keen to bring him to Turin.

However, their €12m bid for him was rejected by Real Madrid, who are demanding around €30m for the Spaniard, according to Italian daily La Stampa.

Arsenal, who are in the market for a top class forward, have kept a close eye on negotiations between the Italians and Spaniards and might move for the striker at an opportune moment.

There is also Real Madrid’s wish to add a buy-back clause to any deal to sell Morata which could further complicate the negotiations.

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid budge from their stance or Juventus are desperate enough to pay the quoted figure for the young striker.
