Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud believes his side will be able to sustain their challenge for the Premier League title until the end of the season this term.

The Gunners, who remained top of the table for the most number of days in the last campaign, ended up finishing fourth after poor results in March.

However, unlike the previous seasons, Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market early and have already roped in four players, namely Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, David Ospina and Calum Chambers.

And Giroud feels the Emirates Stadium outfit are a lot stronger both quality and quantity-wise from last season and hence predicts a stronger drive for the Premier League.

“We have a good quality squad and now the quantity too, so that's why I think we will be stronger this year”, he told the club’s official site.

"Last year we did well until March. We had a bad run after but we really wanted to come back and be stronger than last year."

The Frenchman further added that Arsenal will be a force to reckon with once their German trio of Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski return to action for the club.

“I think when our Germans join us, we will be stronger for sure and hopefully [we can compete] until May."
