Serie A side Fiorentina will move to bring in Sami Khedira from Real Madrid if they sell Juan Cuadrado.

La Viola are under siege over Cuadrado and may have to cash in on the winger this summer, with Barcelona and Manchester United at the door.

Such a development would bring at least €40m into the club's coffers however and give Fiorentina the firepower needed to swoop for Khedira.

And according to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, La Viola are looking seriously at doing just that in the event Cuadrado exits.

The Germany international has just one year left to run on his contract in the Spanish capital and has so far resisted putting pen to paper on an extension.

That has alerted a number of clubs, including Arsenal, though Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently played down talk he was close to a deal for Khedira.

One sticking point for Fiorentina is likely to be the midfielder's wage demands.

Khedira is thought to want around €7m per year in wages, a sum the Serie A club may struggle to meet.
