Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta expects Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to hand Joel Campbell a chance to impress at the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming campaign.

Campbell spent last term on loan at Greek champions Olympiacos before showcasing his talent on the international stage at the World Cup with Costa Rica.

The forward has attracted attention from AC Milan this summer, but Arsenal appear in no mood to part with Campbell and Arteta, who has been impressed with the youngster in training, feels he will receive a chance.

"I'm very impressed with Joel", the Spaniard told his club's site.

"He's got great feet, great technique, he's very creative and he's a young lad who is full of energy and is enthusiastic.

"He wants to stay here, he wants to make his stamp here and I think the boss is going to give him a chance."

Campbell played a part in Arsenal's Emirates Cup friendly tournament earlier this month, while he also came off the bench to help the Gunners beat Manchester City 3-0 in the Community Shield at the weekend.
