Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla believes that Manchester United could take a leaf out of Liverpool's book in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool had no European football on the agenda last term, allowing a full week's preparation between Premier League games.

And the Reds enjoyed a sensational campaign, putting together a strong title tilt and ultimately finishing second, while Cazorla's Arsenal ended fourth.

Now Manchester United have no European football for the new season following a finish of seventh last term. And Cazorla feels that could well give the Red Devils a domestic boost.

"Man United will be a strong opponent as they do not have European duties, so it'll be a case similar to Liverpool last year", Cazorla told his club's site.

The Spaniard also expects a strong challenge to come from Jose Mourinho's Chelsea and champions Manchester City, while he feels Liverpool will again be strong.

"Also you always have to count on Chelsea because they have Mourinho in charge and also because of the players they've signed. They'll be a dangerous rival.

"Man City have won two titles in the last three years and that makes them favourites, while Liverpool keep improving.

"That's the attractiveness of this league – it's so competitive and there are many teams with title ambitions. The important thing is that we are among them all."
