Arsenal have quoted Juventus a high price to sign forward Lukas Podolski on loan, leading to the Italians putting talks on hold.

Podolski is thought to have give Juventus the green light and is willing to move to Turin, if the Italian champions can reach an agreement with the Gunners.

According to Sky Italia, Juventus today made contact with Arsenal to ask about taking the Germany international on a season-long loan deal.

However, they have been stunned by Arsenal's financial demands for such an agreement and as such have placed talks on hold while they assess their options.

Arsenal are well aware that Wolfsburg want to sign Podolski and the Bundesliga outfit are prepared to shell out €12m to sign the 29-year-old on an outright basis.
