Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny admits that playing away against Borussia Dortmund is always a tough ask for any team.

The Gunners have travelled to Dortmund to take on BVB tonight at the Westfalenstadion in a Champions League Group D clash. The other two teams in the group are Galatasaray and Anderlecht.

Arsenal and Dortmund were pitted in the same group in last season’s competition too and both won their respective away fixtures.

Koscielny knows how tough it is too play against BVB at home as he believes they have a lot of quality players in their line-up who can hurt any team in Europe.

“We know Dortmund because we’ve played against them three times and they’re the biggest team in Germany after Bayern Munich”, the Frenchman told Arsenal Player.

“They have a lot of international players and they're a good team who try to play football with movement.”

The Gunners won away at Dortmund last season, but the French defender believes it won’t be that easy to repeat the feat as the German outfit are not an easy team to beat at home.

However, the Frenchman outlined the importance of starting on the front foot in the Champions League.

“Last season we won 1-0 but it was a very hard game because Dortmund played very well. They have a lot of players who make the difference. They have [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang up front who is very quick, so we know it will be hard.

“We will go to Dortmund with confidence and we want to win the game because it¹s important to start the group stage well.”
