Former Yugoslavia goalkeeper Ratko Svilar has spoken of his pride at his son's progress in the game and revealed he is wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, to name just a few.

Svilar himself moved to Belgium in 1980 and clocked up 15 years with Royal Antwerp. He then managed the club on four separate occasions, the latest being in 2009.

And he has remained firmly ensconced in Belgium, with his 15-year-old son Mile, also a goalkeeper, on the books at Anderlecht's youth academy.

Mile is pulling up trees and could go right to the very top, Ratko claims, pointing to serious interest from a trio of Premier League clubs.

In discussion with Belgian daily Het Nieuwsblad, Ratko pulled out a letter from Arsenal inviting his son over to England for a trial, while also lifting the lid on other suitors from the Premier League.

"He was at Chelsea. And Manchester United also enquired. Everyone wants him", Ratko explained.

But a move away from Anderlecht has been ruled out for now, with Mile having given his word that he will pen a contract with the club when he turns 16.

"We already have an agreement with Anderlecht, even though he can't sign a contract until his 16th birthday.

"Nowhere would be better for him, he is beautifully guided. From his 20th birthday, we'll see. It's not just talent and luck, it is also hard work."

Ratko also revealed that Mile has the talent to make waves as an outfield player, but is taking the cue from his father's career to instead choose a life between the sticks.

"He could be a great footballer, but he will necessarily be a keeper, like his father."

However, Mile will not be Ratko's height, having already outgrown his father, while he is set to become even taller.

"I was 1.84 metres, he is already 1.85 metres and looks like he is 20. And according to a bone scan he will be 1.92 metres.

"But in any case Mile has the same style of goalkeeping and also my speed."

Anderlecht have often proven a breeding ground for young talents in recent seasons, though the Belgian giants have had trouble holding onto their best players when bigger clubs come calling. The Jupiler League side will at least be relieved Ratko sees Mile not considering a move until he is 20.
