Arsene Wenger has pledged to talk to Abou Diaby about his contractual situation next month.
The Arsenal midfielder has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons and is currently again out of action. Wenger has confirmed that Diaby is continuing to progress on his way back to fitness, but his contractual situation at the Emirates Stadium is up in the air.
The 28-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has not played a single Premier League game for Arsenal this season, but continues to retain Wenger's respect.
And the Arsenal boss will hold talks with his countryman soon.
"He progresses in training, step by step, though he is not fit to play", Wenger was quoted as saying by French outlet Maxifoot.

"We will talk about his contract soon.
"Definitely in March", Wenger added.
Diaby has made just 16 Premier League appearances for Arsenal over the last four seasons.
The midfielder was snapped up by Wenger for Arsenal from French outfit Auxerre in 2006.
It remains to be seen what type of deal the Gunners choose to offer a player who has consistently struggled to maintain a level of match fitness in recent years.
