Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton has lavished praise on team-mate Stefan Johansen, saying that the Norwegian possesses an all-round game that adds massively to the team.

Johansen joined the Hoops in January last year and he has been an ever-present fixture in Ronny Deila’s starting eleven this season. In his 47 appearances in all competitions, the midfielder has scored ten times and assisted a further nine goals.

The 24-year-old has played an important role in helping Celtic win the Scottish League Cup, make it to the semi-finals of the Scottish FA Cup and secure top spot in the league this term.

Johansen’s versatility has enabled him to play in a number of positions including attacking midfield, central midfield, as well as in defensive midfield. And Bitton has lauded the Norwegian for his contributions to the team’s cause.

“Stefan Johansen would be my Player of the Year because he is the kind of player who gives everything for the team”, Bitton told Celtic View.
