Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho feels Manchester United have the strength in depth in their squad to negate their injury concerns.

After a relatively injury-free few months, Manchester United have been again bitten by the injury bug ahead of their trip to Chelsea.

Earlier today Louis van Gaal ruled out Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo from their trip to west London tomorrow.

With Evans also suspended, Manchester United will be forced to field either Paddy McNair and Tyler Blackett as Chris Smalling’s central defensive partner at Stamford Bridge and Van Gaal has hinted that Wayne Rooney might again find himself in a midfield role in the absence of Blind and Carrick.

However, Mourinho feels the injuries won’t affect their rhythm as Manchester United have an ‘amazing squad’ and they have quality options to replace their injured players.

He also added that the Manchester United manager will make sure that they are more than ready to face Chelsea with whatever options he has on his table.

“Their squad is amazing; in numbers, in quality, in experience, they are amazing”, Mourinho said in a press conference.

“This week I realised what options they have and it is amazing.

“Van Gaal is a fantastic coach and they are more than ready.

“I know him very well and he will think, ‘we have a fantastic squad and we will go with what we have’.”
