Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal feels that his team-mate Gabriel Paulista needs to improve his English speaking skills, which he believes will give him the confidence to become an even better player.
The Brazilian arrived at the Emirates Stadium in January last year from Spanish outfit Villarreal and has had to compete with Per Mertesacker and Laurent Kosicleny for a starting spot.
The 25-year-old has in fact managed an overall 24 appearances for Arsenal in the course of the last season and the first half of this season.
Monreal has full confidence in his team-mate's abilities, having seen him impress in the back four against Southampton earlier in the month.
Speaking to his club's official website, the Spaniard insisted that the main thing that Paulista needs to improve is his English speaking skills to survive in the Premier League.

He also took time to reveal that he along with another Spaniard, Hector Bellerín, he is helping him out with his English.
"It's good that I can speak Spanish with him on the pitch, but Gabby knows he needs to improve his English because that will make the football easier", Monreal told his club's official website.
"Myself, Hector, everyone is helping him every day with it because it's much better for the team."
"If you are confident in yourself, you feel better because you are more relaxed and you feel the authority to correct things you see. You feel more involved in the group."
