New Celtic signing Kristoffer Ajer has revealed that he had offers from other clubs, but the Bhoys remained his priority and he wanted to move to Paradise.
The 17-year-old Norwegian wonderkid was earlier today unveiled by the Bhoys and they confirmed that Ajer will join Ronny Deila’s side at the end of the season.
Ajer currently plays for Tippeligaen outfit IK Start, but spent a week on trial with Celtic in January at the club’s Lennextown training centre.
The midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the Hoops after arriving at Glasgow yesterday to undergo his medical and to finalise the terms of his contract.
The 6ft 5in midfielder revealed that he had offers from other clubs too, but the Bhoys were his number one club and he wanted to continue his development in Glasgow.

Speaking in his unveiling, Ajer said: “Yes, of course [I had other offers], but the whole time Celtic were my number one club and I wanted to come here.”
Ajer became the youngest player to captain a Tippeligaen outfit, when he captained Start against his former club Lillestrom in a 1-1 draw on 7th April 2015.
The 17-year-old scored 13 goals and assisted another five in 47 appearances for Start over the course of the last two years.
