Celtic youngster Calvin Miller is looking to catch the eye of Brendan Rodgers during the summer in order to break into the first team next season.

After an impressive season with the Celtic developmental squad, both in Scotland and in Europe, Miller secured a new three-year deal recently to continue his journey with the Bhoys.

The forward has been on Celtic’s books since he was eight and after steady progress through the ranks, Miller is now looking forward to breaking into the first team squad.

New Celtic boss Rodgers is known for promoting youth and has insisted that he will first look within, before he decides to dip his hands into the transfer market this summer.

And Miller feels pre-season is a great opportunity for him to catch the eye of the Celtic boss, in order to break into the first team.

When asked how he plans to gain Rodgers' attention, the forward told Celtic TV: “Obviously in pre-season, I can maybe catch his eye in a few friendlies.

“And hopefully get up there.”

Miller has also represented Scotland at Under-16 and Under-17 levels.
