Chris Sutton feels that Jack Wilshere will flourish at Bournemouth and said he rates the England international highly when he is even just half fit.

Wilshere was allowed to leave Arsenal on transfer deadline day to join Bournemouth on a season-long loan deal after Gunners boss Arsene Wenger concluded he would not feature on a regular basis at the Emirates Stadium.

Wilshere was brought off the bench by the Cherries in Saturday's Premier League game against West Brom and played his part in a 1-0 win.

Sutton is a big fan of the injury-prone midfielder and feels he will do well on the south coast.

"He's a player I rate extremely highly – I rate him highly when he's half fit to be honest", Sutton explained on the BBC's Final Score programme.

"He'll be a brilliant player for Bournemouth."

Wilshere was introduced into the action just after the hour mark at the Vitality Stadium and will hope to have done enough to convince Cherries boss Eddie Howe to hand him a start in Bournemouth's next game.

That comes next Saturday with a trip to the Etihad Stadium to play league leaders Manchester City.
