La Liga giants Sevilla have jumped into the race for wantaway Wolfsburg star Julian Draxler.

A scramble for the Germany international is now developing at pace after Wolfsburg admitted they were ready to allow him to leave the club in the winter transfer window.




Arsenal have been linked with Draxler, amid suggestions they are counting on the midfielder's international team-mate Mesut Ozil to sell the switch, while Paris Saint-Germain are now talking to the Wolfsburg star's agent ahead of launching an official bid.

Italian champions Juventus are also interested, but now there is a new player in town in the shape of Sevilla.
 


According to German daily Bild, boosted by reaching the last 16 of the Champions League, Sevilla are readying a swoop for the attacking midfielder.

Draxler was recently left out of Wolfsburg's squad to travel to face Bayern Munich and appears to be firmly on the way out of the Volkswagen Arena.

He was keen to leave the club in the summer transfer window, but the Wolves refused to play ball.

Draxler only joined Wolfsburg in 2015, but has struggled to settle at the club.
