Arsenal are showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur target Thomas Lemar, as they look to make a number of signings to revamp their squad over the summer transfer window, with the winger not deaf to the Gunners' admiration for him.

Lemar's fine performances in a Monaco side that won Ligue 1 this term and also shone in the Champions League have not gone unnoticed and several clubs have checked in on the winger.

Chelsea and Manchester United showed interest in Lemar last summer, while Tottenham and Juventus are keen this time around.

Now Arsenal can be added to the list, according to French sports daily L'Equipe, as Arsene Wenger thinks about taking Lemar to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners however cannot offer the winger Champions League football next season and it remains to be seen whether it could be a disadvantage if they battle against a team in Europe's premier competition for Lemar's signature.

It is claimed that Lemar is not deaf to Arsenal's interest and appreciates the fact that the club have been home to a number of French players, who have flourished, in recent times.

Whether that is enough to tilt the scales firmly in Arsenal's favour is unclear.

Arsenal also want Lemar's team-mate Kylian Mbappe, but there too face a fight for his signature.
