Marseille are looking at other options after Kurt Zouma recently made it clear that he doesn’t want to leave Chelsea this summer.

The 22-year-old French defender returned to the Chelsea senior squad in the second half of last season after recovering from a serious knee injury and only made a handful of starts under Antonio Conte.

Marseille have been keenly following him in recent months and have shown an interest in signing him on a season-long loan deal during the summer transfer window.

However, Zouma made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Chelsea and is looking to prove himself again next season as the Blues return to Champions League football.

Marseille still retain an interest in the Frenchman, but according to French sports daily L'Equipe, they are looking at other options in the market as it seems unlikely Zouma will leave Chelsea.

The Ligue 1 club are close to securing the signature of Adil Rami from Sevilla and are keen to add one more central defender to their squad ahead of the start of the new season.

Zouma remains their top target but they are aware that it is going to be tough to convince the defender to move back to France during the summer transfer window.
