Ajax are likely to ask for big money for midfielder Donny van de Beek in the summer amidst talk of interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 21-year-old Dutch midfielder’s stock has risen this season due to Ajax’s performances in the Champions League and their run to the semi-final of the competition.

Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt have attracted the big headlines for Ajax, but Van de Beek has also been a key element of the team who have already beaten Real Madrid and Juventus this year.

A number of clubs are keeping tabs on his development and could make move for him during the summer transfer window.

And according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Ajax are likely to ask for a fee in the region of €50m if they receive approaches for the Dutchman in the coming months.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with Van de Beek and he has been backed to flourish at either of the north London giants by former Netherlands star Rene van der Gijp.

He has also attracted interest from Italy and AC Milan wanted to sign him last summer when his value was set at around €25m.

It has been claimed that clubs would need to pay double that figure to sign him this year.
