The Belgian left-back only arrived at Celtic Park last summer and has three more years left on his contract but his stint with the Scottish champions appears to be coming to an end.

Bolingoli made the news for the wrong reasons last month after he made a trip to Spain without the knowledge of the club, breaking travel regulations set by the Scottish FA.

The 25-year-old’s actions handed him a three-match ban while Celtic saw two of their league games being postponed.

Neil Lennon’s side have been looking to move the full-back on since the incident and finally could be in line to receive an offer.

Italian Serie A outfit Roma have registered an interest in Bolingoli and Celtic are expecting a bid to follow, leaving former Bhoy Sutton surprised.

He must have a really good agent“, Sutton wrote on Twitter.

Roma are on the hunt for a new left-back after Aleksandar Kolarov left the club to join league rivals Inter.

With Celtic looking to move Bolingoli on, a move to Rome could suit all parties.
