Although he is just 17 years old, Anderson has been involved with the Newcastle senior squad and was also included in their EFL Cup game against Newport County in September.

Reflecting on the time he has spent with Steve Bruce’s side, the teenage midfielder has revealed that Saint-Maximin is one player who has helped him settle in with the team.

Anderson lifted the lid on how the French winger helped him feel relaxed while training with the senior players and provided him with advice to improve as a player.

The Newcastle talent also revealed that he was taken aback when Saint-Maximin posted a picture of the two training and praised him on Instagram.

Obviously, Allan’s a very good player and well-known“, Anderson was quoted as saying by Newcastle’s official site.

I was quite shocked when I saw the post and it all came about very quickly!

I’ve spoken to him on the pitch and he’s helped me feel relaxed and settled in training.

He’s given me some good advice too and it’s good to watch him see what he does.

Anderson will be hopeful of learning more from Saint-Maximin, who has become a popular figure at St. James’ Park since his arrival from Nice last summer.
