The teenage defender was wanted at Manchester United last year and the Premier League giants even tabled a bid to take him to Old Trafford.
Monaco decided against selling the player by rejecting the offer and the young defender also did not push for a transfer, choosing to stay put at the Stade Louis II.
The 19-year-old is a certain starter in a Monaco team who are very much part of one of the most exciting title races in Ligue 1 in several years.
Badiashile insisted that he never had a great season at Monaco before this year and he is really enjoying being at the right end of the table.
He feels the way the season has worked out, the decision to reject Manchester United and stay at Monaco has turned out to be a great one.
The young defender told French radio station RMC: “It was the right choice.
“I haven’t had good seasons at Monaco as we were playing to survive.
“But I am really enjoying being towards the top of the table.
“To continue with my youth club was the right solution and with the season we are having, it was the best decision I made.
“No, I don’t regret saying no to Manchester United.”
Despite only being 19, Badiashile has already made 71 appearances for the club and his future is likely to be under the scanner in the coming summer.
