Chelsea beat Leicester 2-1 on Tuesday night to throw the top four race wide open going into the final day of the season on Sunday.

A win for the Blues at Aston Villa on the final day will guarantee them a top four finish, but it could be down to Leicester and Liverpool for the final spot.

Liverpool will go level on points with the Foxes if they beat Burnley tonight and a superior goal difference means that three more points against Crystal Palace on Sunday are likely to book them a spot in the Champions League regardless of what Leicester do.

Wright believes Liverpool will now feel that it is now their destiny to finish in the top four, especially with the way Alisson scored the winner against West Brom last weekend.

He stressed that the Reds are being driven towards a top finish and now it is up to them to keep their end of the bargain.

Wright said on Premier League TV: “It’s the kind of result where they will be thinking yes it is kind of aligning for us.

“When you see the goalkeeper coming up, that’s the kitchen sink, that’s the last thing they can throw and they go that.

“The goalkeeper came up and scored the goal and again they’ve got this [result going for them] tonight.

“Something is driving it towards them and it is now totally up to them to win those two games.”

Klopp will hope that his side do the business at Burnley and take their top four hopes into the final day of the season.
