Le Tallec played against Silva when the defender was at French giants Paris Saint-Germain, whom he left for Chelsea in the previous summer transfer window.

Silva attained legendary status in his time playing for the Parisians, making over 300 appearances after arriving at the club and helping his side lift seven Ligue 1 titles, among a horde of domestic trophies.

Le Tallec revealed that he thinks Silva has no weaknesses and his aerial presence is his strongest attribute.

The former Reds forward insisted that Silva is a threat in any aerial duel and harbours no doubts about what he wants to do with an airborne ball.

“Thiago Silva, whom I faced with Valenciennes”, Le Tallec told French regional daily Le Dauphine after being asked about the strongest player he has ever faced.

“I saw no weaknesses in him.

“He has an incredible jump, but what really stood out for me is that he managed to jump and head well.

“When he went into an aerial duel he already knew where he was he was going to put in when most defenders just try to head it.

“He is very strong.”

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the previous summer, Silva has gone on to make 34 appearances in all competitions for the Blues and has managed to win the one trophy that eluded his grasp at the Parisians, the Champions League.
