The 20-year-old joined Arsenal from French outfit Saint Etienne back in the summer of 2019 and his capture was considered a coup for the club.
The French centre-back spent the second-half of the recently concluded season on loan at Nice, where he made 20 appearances in Ligue 1.
With Arsenal closing in on the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ben White, Saliba may find opportunities in the first-team to be limited post his return to the Emirates this summer.
The Gunners are planning to schedule discussions with the young defender over his future in north London before the start of pre-season.
It is claimed that Arsenal could decide to send Saliba out on loan for another season, but the possibility of a permanent transfer away from the Emirates this summer cannot be ruled out in the case of the youngster.
With three-years left on his current deal with the Gunners, the Bondy-native could also end up staying in north London and continuing his development with the Gunners.
It remains to be seen if the Frenchman will still be on the books at Arsenal by the time the Gunners kick off the new season.
