The 36-year-old forward is pushing for a move away from Juventus ahead of Tuesday’s deadline and Manchester City appear to be his only option.

Jorge Mendes held talks with Juventus on Thursday and the Italian giants made it clear that they want around €30m before agreeing to sell Ronaldo.

The Portuguese super-agent is now trying to broker a deal between Manchester City and Juventus for Ronaldo’s sensational return to England.

And according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, a deal could go through for Manchester City to sign the 36-year-old in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Manchester City were initially reluctant to pay a fee for Ronaldo and wanted to sign him on a free transfer.

But Juventus have made it apparent that under no circumstances will they let him leave without a fee.

Ronaldo is pushing for the move to Manchester City and is now waiting for the two clubs to work out an agreement.

Manchester City have agreed on personal terms with him but are yet to table a bid with Juventus.
