The St. James’ Park outfit have made a poor start to their 2021/22 campaign, drawing three and losing four of their seven Premier League matches so far, something which has left fans unhappy.
With Newcastle currently sitting 19th in the table and pressure mounting on Bruce, a number of fans have called for the Englishman to be sacked as the club’s manager; clubs often use the international break to pull the trigger on an underperforming manager.
Ianmarshall is of the view that the international break does give Newcastle the right opportunity to sack Bruce and bring a replacement in, though he does not see any chance of that happening.
ToonArmy is baffled that the Newcastle hierarchy have not pulled the plug on the former Manchester United defender despite the Magpies winning only five of their last 37 matches.
Yasmin labelled Bruce an incompetent manager and insisted that he is shameless for continuing to take managerial jobs when he has a poor record to his name.
NufcFred insisted that Bruce’s luck has run out and he can no longer depend on Allan Saint-Maximin, while Gav McElroy took a dig at the Newcastle boss by asking if he is off to Spain for a break following his side’s good start to the season.
Dan Potter pointed out how Watford sacked Xisco Munoz after being dissatisfied with the team’s cohesion and explained that Bruce would have been long gone if similar standards were expected of him at Newcastle.
Bruce will try to silence his critics after the international break when Newcastle host Tottenham Hotspur.
There’s no better time to sack a manager than during an international break, give the replacement time to bed in etc. Sadly we know this won’t happen. #nufc

A reminder that we only have 5 wins in our last 37 games. FIVE!
How can the board think that’s acceptable? His time is up!! #NUFC #BruceOut

I keep thinking why would #SteveBruce keep on taking jobs when he has such an atrocious record & clearly he is incompetent. Then I realise he must be laughing at all the clubs that employ him & have paid him millions. He is shameless though. #NUFC #BruceOut

Bruce is just upset his luck has run out, he can no longer just hoof it up to Saint-Maximin and win games. #NUFC

@WatfordFC statement on sacking their manager;
‘The Board feels recent performances strongly indicate a negative trend at a time when team cohesion should be visibly improving.’
Good job owld Brucey isn’t held to these standards. He’d be long gone. #NUFC
