Solskjaer’s future has come under intense scrutiny since Manchester United’s embarrassing 5-0 defeat at home to Liverpool on Sunday.

The Manchester United hierarchy held high-level talks throughout Monday with the increasing suggestions that they could come to an agreement to sack the Norwegian.

But it has been claimed that the Manchester United manager will get a chance to stop the rot at Tottenham on Saturday.

Solskjaer is expected to remain in charge of Manchester United when his side visit the north London club.

The Manchester United board still do not want to sack the Norwegian as he still has some credit left in his bank with the hierarchy.

However, there are serious reservations over his ability to take the club forward following a poor start to the season.

A number of Manchester United players have also reportedly lost faith in Solskjaer and whether he is the right man to lead them.

While he is still well-liked as a person, a section of the Manchester United dressing room do not believe he is the right man for their professional careers.

A defeat at Tottenham is may though be expected to bring the axe down on his time at Old Trafford.
