Solskjaer’s position at Old Trafford has come under intense scrutiny following Manchester United’s 5-0 humiliation at home at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday.

The Manchester United hierarchy were locked in meetings throughout Monday with suggestions that he could be sacked.

Manchester United are reportedly in contact with Antonio Conte, but it emerged today that Solskjaer is likely to be in the dugout when the Red Devils visit Tottenham.

However, to add further fuel to the saga, it has been claimed that a decision has not been made over the Norwegian’s future at Manchester United.

Doubts persist over his suitability at Old Trafford following a horror run this season where the team have got a point in their last four league games.

There are claims that some of the Manchester United players have lost faith in Solskjaer’s ability to take the club forward and challenge for big honours.

Manchester United are still very much deliberating over what to do with the manager at the moment.

The axe could still fall on him this week and it is still unclear whether he will be leading Manchester United out at Tottenham on Saturday.
