The Hammers are keen on bolstering their defence in the ongoing window following injuries to centre-back duo Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna, along with left-back Aaron Creswell.

West Ham are aiming for a top four finish in the Premier League while they also want to go far in the Europa League this season and have several names on their transfer radar as they look for defensive reinforcements.

The London outfit have identified PSG defender Diallo as a potential recruit in the ongoing window, but he is also a target for top flight rivals Newcastle.

However, West Ham are keen on beating off competition for the 25-year-old’s signature and have tabled an offer to PSG to take him to England on loan.

Les Parisiens are keen on offloading a number of players in the ongoing window and Diallo is among the stars they are open to letting go.

West Ham want to add Diallo, who can slot in at both left-back and centre-back, to their ranks on a temporary basis for the remainder of the season.

It remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 giants will sanction an exit for Diallo to move to the London stadium before the window slams shut.
