Manchester United’s hopes of a top-four spot were revived over the weekend but they are going to Anfield tonight as underdogs.

Liverpool are expected by many to beat the Red Devils comfortably despite their historic rivalry and the memories of their performance at Old Trafford in October are still very fresh.

The Reds hammered Manchester United 5-0 in one of the lowest points of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time at Old Trafford and Bosnich stressed that they cannot make those same mistakes.

He insisted that Manchester United will have to find ways to stay in the game even if things are not going well for them at Anfield as it could get ugly if they allow their shoulders to drop.

The former Manchester United goalkeeper said on talkSPORT: “Regardless of the fact if Liverpool get an early goal or things are not going well for a particular period of time, stay in the game and stay in the fight.

“I think that is going to be vitally important to them.

“The worst thing they could do is basically to go one down and drop their bundle and Liverpool score another one and perhaps, another one.

“Then it can get really ugly as we saw at Old Trafford.”

Manchester United will hope to dent Liverpool’s hopes of winning the league by getting something from their trip to Anfield.
