Ten Hag confirmed over the weekend that his contract with Manchester United starts this week and the Dutchman has commenced work as the new Red Devils manager.

 

There was talk that he could be arriving in England this week but he confirmed that it is still not time for him to travel to Manchester United.

 

 

However, he claimed that he will be meeting several key Manchester United officials over the course of the next few days and is very much in the thick of all the planning that he goes into preparing for next season.

 

Ten Hag is aware of the expectations at Old Trafford and stressed that there is a lot of work ahead of him as he gets ready for Manchester United.

 

 

The 52-year-old told Dutch broadcaster Ziggo Sport: “I am not going to Manchester yet, but I am going to meet people from the club.

 

“I am involved with the staff, the composition, the preparation and the squad.

 

 

“I know what the expectations are and there is a lot of work ahead of us.”

 

Ten Hag is expected in England next week where is expected to be unveiled as Manchester United manager.
