Saka’s contract with the Gunners expires in the summer of 2024 but recent speculation has seen him being linked with a move away from the Emirates.

English champions Manchester City are the club reportedly interested in the Gunners star but the north London club are hopeful he will sign a new deal.

The Gunners consider tying down Saka to a new contract a priority and have already had discussions with him.

Further talks will take place after the winger returns from his campaign with England as part of the Nations League.

The Three Lions’ last match on their current run is early next week and after Saka returns from England duty, the Gunners will hold talks with him over a new contract.

Arsenal do not want to intrude on Saka’s time with England and have held off talks until the winger has finished his duties with the national team for the time-being.

Saka enjoyed his best campaign numbers-wise for the Gunners this past season, registering eleven goals and seven assists in the Premier League, and the club are eager to get him to sign a new contract.
