The attacker’s side Bordeaux have been relegated from Ligue 1 and Hwang is expected to move on during the ongoing transfer window.

Hwang claimed towards the end of July that he had a proposal on the table to join David Moyes’ West Ham this summer.

However, there has been no further news of a switch to the London Stadium and according to South Korean journalist Steve Han, West Ham’s interest has not materialised.

Hwang could still end up plying his trade in the Premier League this season as he has interest from Wolves.

The 29-year-old is also wanted by Nantes, but they are some way off meeting Bordeaux’s asking price.

Hwang was taken to France by Bordeaux in 2019 and hit double figures in goals in his last two seasons for the club.

The attacker has been capped by South Korea at international level on 47 occasions.
