Batshuayi looked set for a loan move to Chelsea’s fellow top flight club Nottingham Forest on deadline day.
The Belgian star does not feature in the plans of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and thus was making his way to join a horde of new signings at the City Ground.
However, the move to Nottingham Forest collapsed and it has been claimed it was because Chelsea were not able to file the paperwork in time.
The window does remain open until the 8th of this month in Turkey though and that is where the striker is now heading, in the form of Fenerbahce.
Batshuayi has now entered Turkey as he looks to seal a loan move to the Turkish giants and Chelsea are getting a €3m fee in the deal, including bonuses, according to Turkish daily Yeni Safak.
The Belgian also spent the last season in Turkey, playing for Besiktas and scoring 14 goals for them in 33 league appearances in addition to giving five assists.
Batshuayi has not played a game for Chelsea since the 2019/20 season and this is the third consecutive campaign that he is heading on loan.
