Moffi has been lethal in front of goal for Lorient in Ligue 1 so far this season and is a wanted man in this month’s transfer window.
Both Southampton and West Ham, who want to add extra firepower, hold an interest in the 23-year-old, but now they are at risk of missing out.
Nice have gone in with an offer of €18m for Moffi, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.
The south coast side have seen Moffi up close in Ligue 1 and are impressed with what the striker brings to the table.
It is claimed that both Southampton and West Ham have seen bids for Moffi turned down by Lorient and all eyes will be on whether Nice’s offer is accepted.
The bid is Nice’s second, with a first proposal of €15m being turned down.
Lorient would like to bring in €30m from selling Moffi, but are aware they are hamstrung by the player being in the final 18 months of his contract.
