Silva’s Fulham side will be travelling to the north east of England to take on Newcastle at St. James’ Park on Sunday.
Fulham are coming into the game on the back of some very good form, including a win over Chelsea on Thursday night, and are sixth in the Premier League table.
However, a trip to Newcastle is expected to be one of the stiffer tests of the season given the way Eddie Howe’s team have been playing in the ongoing campaign.
Newcastle are third in the league table and Silva stressed that apart from the quality they have, it is their intensity that should be admired.
The Fulham boss revealed his admiration for the way Newcastle defend and attack aggressively and are very direct when needed.
Silva said in a press conference: “One of the things that I like, besides the quality, it’s the intensity.
“On the ball and off the ball.
“They can be so direct, when they attack in behind, when in their defensive organisation.
“They are so aggressive in their press in a good way.”
Fulham could close the gap to Newcastle to just a point if they pull out a shock win on Tyneside this weekend.
