Ndombele spent last season on loan at Napoli and was part of the squad that won the club’s first Serie A title in over three decades.

The midfielder is back at Tottenham for pre-season and his future very much remains unresolved at the moment.

He still has two years left on his Spurs contract and there are suggestions that he could be in their squad for next season.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe (print edition), Postecoglou is a long-term admirer of the French midfielder.

The new Tottenham boss wants to make him part of his plans for next season and is keen to see the midfielder during pre-season.

Ndombele has a chance to impress the Australian and remain at the north London club for the upcoming campaign.

The midfielder also has an ally in Leonardo Gabbanini, Tottenham’s chief scout, in the club hierarchy.

He sees Ndombele as a potential solution for the Tottenham midfield for the new season.
