The Swede joined the Scottish giants in 2021 from Rubin Kazan and now he is on the radar of another Russian team.

Starfelt had a difficult start to the previous campaign after suffering a knee injury, however, he partnered with Cameron Carter-Vickers in central defence after his recovery.

The defender picked up a domestic treble with Celtic last term, but could be set to move on from the Scottish giants this summer.

Now he is attracting interest from Spartak Moscow and they are ready to send a formal bid for the defender in the coming days.

It has also been claimed that Guille Abascal, the Moscow outfit’s boss, is a huge admirer of the 28-year-old.

Although Celtic are also closing in on Legia Warsaw centre-back Malik Narowcki, it is unclear how they would feel about selling Starfelt.

Brendan Rodgers will have a decision to make about his Swedish defender with an offer from Spartak Moscow on its way.
