Toure made the move to Almeria from French club Reims in September last year and after having spent almost a year with the Spanish side, he has been linked with a potential transfer away from the club this summer.
The 21-year-old striker has garnered attention from Everton and Atalanta.
Although Toure was a top target for Everton this summer in their desperate search for a striker, it appears that the Malian international will be joining the Italian side.
The negotiations for a definitive transfer between the two clubs are set to be concluded soon, with the fixed part of the deal being €27m, and an additional €3min bonuses.
It is expected that Toure will undergo a medical with Atalanta in Milan in the next 48 hours, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.
Despite Everton’s desperate need for a striker and Toure appearing to be an ideal option, his decision to join Atalanta makes it no longer possible for the Toffees.
Now, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin as their top striker and considering his struggles with fitness, it remains to be seen what Everton’s next move in the transfer market will be.
